This workshop will explore the world of being a Voiceover actor.
This is not a workshop to teach you how to act but to teach you the techniques to being a VO actor. This workshop is for those actors who are looking to expand their acting bandwidth. You do not need to have a VO demo to take this class. This class will teach you the basics of getting work as a VO actor and the how to's to put a VO demo together. Darren "Doc" Roubinek, from Fasone & Partners, and Deana Winter, from Wheeler Audio will act as the client and give you the direction and feedback from a producer's standpoint. You will be given a script a couple days ahead to prepare, bring in the class and work on in the booth. This workshop was created to give the actor an opportunity to get in a real recording studio and practice the craft of Voice over acting and be given direction and feedback by professionals working in the business.
This workshop is one of a kind and will not be offered often.
The beginner workshop has a strict max of 12 students.

Actors will also have the opportunity to do some cold and some change ups with the material. Actors will also receive ample playback time to review their work.

AWM has some exciting workshops this Spring/Summer and we want to make sure you don't miss any of them!
They offer something for every actor at any stage in their career!

In April:
Kids/Teens On Camera Audition TechniqueApril 20, 27 & May 4 9am-12pm
with Dawnnie Mercado

This workshop will be a 3-day class for ages 5-16 years old.
Session One:
First 1/2 hour the parents are encouraged to attend a business of acting discussion/Q & A with Stacey Siegert, then the flow of the day will be a Short Improv warm up, Work on Slating at an Audition, the Basics to Auditioning and Facial Expression/Product audition technique, How to do an Audition when nothing is given to you and Improv or Cold Read scene work
Session Two: Short Improv Warm Up, 2-person scene work for TV and Commercial audition
Session Three:TV - 2 person scene and Playback. The last hour of the class the parents are encouraged to attend a final Q & A and a chance to watch playback on the actors work in the classes.
This workshop has a max of 15 students.

Hollywood TV/Film Casting Director Audition Intensive

This workshop will be a unique, opportunity to ask a TV/Film Hollywood Casting Director anything you ever wanted to know about moving to LA or what it takes to be a working in the LA market. You will also get a chance to meet one on one with Corbin and work a prepared scene/monologue, as you would in an Agent meeting, receive feedback on your choice and your actor type. The Casting Director will also be providing cold readings that will allow the actors to work on their cold reading skills in partnered scenes. This workshop is not to teach you "how to act", but it is to teach you the techniques needed for optimal success. From prepared material to cold material, we will cover all it takes to becoming a successful actor, no matter what market you live in.
